I'm still posting from the mouse-free zone at Flexo's. In my mind, I see myself returning to find decapitated mouse torsos littering the floor of my room, the wretched odor of rotted rodent carcasses seeping under the crack of the door and reducing the carpet to a smoldering pile of ash from it's acidic toxicity. also, i've seen your design work before, and there are some in one of your posts that was quite delicious. however, i do agree you have been doing alot of glossy-web2.0/corporate stuff. naturally, i'd say this is Apple's fault, cause they totally popularized the shiny, gradient look. but if you wanna break out of this groove, just get inspiration from new places; get ideas for a website from magazine, or get ideas for a logo from photography, etc. anyways, that's my 2 cents!

Yeah, the thing is, all but one of those designs were for clients, and when they would send me links of examples of their preferred "style", everything was all shiny and Aquafied. I've been experimenting on my own, but nothing seems to work and I've gotten so frustrated. I feel like I'm just emulating one style after another and nothing is really my own. I'M A FRAUD.
It's probably just a slump though. I just need to start fresh and look elsewhere for inspiration, as you suggested. So thank you!
