I think my health care system is sick

I have been sick since October the 5th.  I left work on that Monday, on the orders of my favourite secretary, and told not to come back to work until I was well.

I haven't been back to work since.  Knowing the mess my absence will cause, I literally cried on Monday when my Doctor ordered me off work for the entire week.  If I manage to make it back

Aw, I hope you feel better soon.

I was lucky enough to only catch a real flu once til date, in my teens. I felt fine in the morning, went to school, whizzed through a two-hour math test and fell ill in the 20 minute recess afterwards. By the time I was home, I already had a raging fever and the next two days (which, as I was told, consisted of lots of cold compresses and feeding me Aspirin and chicken soup) have been burned from my memory. Flu, no matter which kind, is notorious for a very sudden onset, so maybe whoever infected you wasn't even aware of it yet?

Meh... I know the system can suck, but I'm not stepping into a hospital (probably the one place where I'm more likely to pick something up than a school) unless I absolutely have to.

I would send this as a letter to a newspaper, though. The testing thing is a really important point.

A few years back I had something that made me exhausted all the time. As in, sleeping about 20 hours a day, and the 4 hours I was awake I kept trying to doze off

Augh. As always, I can't offer much more than support and as much soup as you want. I mean this truly and sincerely, if you need/want/can't get to anything let me know and either myself or my parental will fetch it for you.

I'm going to be back in town this weekend, so if you need more books, movies, groceries, whatever, I can pack it into a box and leave it on your doorstep.
