Notes: This started out as a fic and really turned more into a writing exercise, to be honest. I'm actually not real sure why I'm feeling the need to post it... XD But I think it came out pretty good? I'll write real fic soon sorry. >_<
When Gakuto says there is always someone better, he means for that someone to be himself. Whether or not this is realistic has never had much to do with his sentiments.
Of all of the things that piss him off, gravity is the worst.

Jiroh dreams about tropical islands, birds with bright feathers, pools of water rippling away from his touch.
Jiroh is sly, but you'd never know it.

Kabaji is strength. Kabaji is solidity. Kabaji is trust.

The world is not big enough for Atobe. But he can adapt.

Shishido is on the ground long enough to feel the pressure of the earth under his feet. It feels too stiff and stagnant for his taste even if he is mildly grateful for the stability.
From there, Hyotei is as tall as a mountain.

Ohtori just wants to help.

Oshitari could be the brains of the operation if he felt like it.

Hiyoshi is the future.
The future is slightly bitter.
