Roger Ebert has written a short essay about his experiences with racism. He also touches on how and why he is learning to be anti-racist. It's a wonderfully-written essay that examines questions of internalized and institutional racism, and also the recent Arizona school mural controversy.

I think people shouldn't be judged for their race OR their beliefs, but rather by their actions.

To believe something is one thing, to act upon it is another. It's all good and fine to say you believe in good, but you know the saying about the good man who does nothing.
