Yeah, that's about right. I've had occasion to go searching for faculty members in particular, as part of my job (and lately, as part of my personal life), and it is frustratingly difficult to find that stuff on the university websites. You know what you want to do? (1) Do a Google Advanced Search, (2) get or print a paper copy of the campus map and hang onto it, and (3) bookmark the hell out of the useful pages once you find them on the website.

My college used to have a "Site Map" hyperlink on the homepage, but as useful as they are, sitemaps are being used less and less these days...

Ha! Very amusing and also very true. Unfortunately, as long as they get their tuition $$$ from you, they could give a shit whether you have the information you need.
