I had a nice frothy rant a-brewin', and then I read something really dumb by someone I really respect and I think my brain just broke.

Instead, take a gander at Step 1 in my plain to dye my hair some sort of blue-green. Right now I've taken my hair from chestnut brown to a copper blond!

Also... make sure the hair wizardry doesn't end up a whole lot of orange. It happens to the best of us.

Nope. Kind of a dark metallic sea-green. Still rather fun.

I think you should link us all to the "something dumb." Unless it's friends-locked or something.

It's flocked, sadly. Basically it equated people upset with the support over Prop 8 with those who were upset over someone choosing to be a vegetarian for moral or ethical reasons.

What is it about turning thirty that makes everyone want to go Super Saiyan? It's like a precursor to the mid-life crisis of buying big cars to compensate for small... other things.

Okay, that was kind of an odd correlation to invoke. I'm sure you have a good reason for it.

Anyhow, my main reason is that I've wondered and wished and thought about dyeing my hair a crazy color for 15 years now, and this is pretty much my one chance I'm going have to do something like this. When I return to the corporate world, I won't have the opportunity to to this. So, I figured I might as well.

I do. I dyed my own hair blond when I was 28, perhaps in a desperate attempt to hold onto my own fading youth. It looked okay, but I'm not sure I'd try it again. Now that there's a lot less hair to go around, I'm not sure there would be a point in trying!

Yeah in my case, since my hair is both dark and coarse, if I wanted to dye it any funky color, I first had to bleach it blonde.
