Screw you, Matt Hardy.

So, Matt Hardy is a longtime professional wrestler with the WWE whose career and popularity have been on the decline lately. Although the exact details aren't clear he has been sent home from a house show (there are non-televised wrestling events from companies that also show a product on TV) once. He's said on his twitter account that he's hoping ( Read more... )

People have been conditioned to laugh at the disabled for centuries. Acceptance and understanding are on the rise, I believe, but there is still a long way to go, like with most things.
It's possible Matt Hardy would be receptive if he could be told how insensitive this is, although if the whole thing is an official gimmick with corporate approval of whatever he's working for rather than just his own internet shenanigans, maybe not. The WWE and such have notoriously non-progressive views on just about everything. And Linda McMahon apparently has a chance of being my next senator. Oh dear.

Don't worry too much; Hardy will definitely get his just desserts. While his part in the love triangle with Edge & Amy Dumas lead to a worked-shoot that gave his career a temporary boost, this time, there's no way he'll get anywhere near as much support from the masses. Plus the things he's said publicly on YouTube are putting him somewhere between Jeff Jarrett & Randy Savage on the McMahon permanent shit-list.

Oh yeah, he can go to TNA & be with his brother, but when Dixie runs out of money (and she will unless she realizes that she hires a decent booker and stops catering to the talent's every desire) - there'll be no where left to go, but $75 jobs at high school gymnasiums.

But, in the end, I'm sure he'll be fine. Hell, the world always needs more ditch diggers.

Hey, there ain't nothin' wrong with ditch digging! Claiming that you have DID because someone introduced your head to steel ring steps once, though?

And.. okay, I'm aware of the Macho Man stuff, but what did J-E Double-F J-A-Double-R E Double-T, Jeff Jarrett ha-ha ever say?

OK, so after Double J's initial run with WWF, he went over to WCW around the time that the whole NWO thing started, remember? Well, about a year after that, he became disgruntled and returned to WWF at a time when WCW was really kicking their asses. So, on his first night back tells him to get on the mic and "shoot". The thing is, when Vince said "shoot", he only meant to bury WCW. However, Jarrett took him literally and buried both WCW AND Vince. Right to his face. Needless to say, Jarrett spent the majority of that 2nd WWF run doing jobs ( ... )

Everything Vince said that night about those individuals was a 100% legit shoot.

Wow, I was wondering why he was laying into Jarrett so bad. Damn. Talk about digging your own grave.

Anyhow, thanks for the explanation... that's an interesting corner of behind the scenes skullduggery. O_o
