California here we come, right back where we started from

So on the weekend of the 20th, I'll be driving with a friend down to northern California to help pick up some things left behind when she moved. Isn't I-5 always pretty clear? I mean, it is the major highway down the coast... surely they wouldn't let it become impassable.

That being said, I've never been to California, so I don't know a damned thing. Also, I-5 is boring as hell, and not particularly scenic. How did you go last time?

Apparently I don't remember. But I also don't know exactly where it is we're going this time, which obviously makes a difference.

I read this post, and I had to do a double-take because I thought you removed me from friends or something. I stared at the date of the entry for a while.

It's so strange seeing Jess and Katie here. Not that they know who I am.

And I'd imagine that they can figure out who you are, if they don't know already.

Their wikipedia page says that they're from Los Angeles, but it's hard to believe the band didn't write that song about Portlanders =P ("If only for the weather"?)

I trust you're right, but I may still buy snow chains, just in case =P
