Narcissa has found herself in a mansion, but not her mansion.

If she's surprised, she is very careful not to show it.

Her eyes take in the room slowly, an eyebrow arched and her chin held high.

Her voice is cool and soft, but nonetheless has a sense of power.

"Where is my husband? And my son?"

"I promise I would tell you if I knew," Ted replies cheerfully and gives her a wave. "As it is, I don't know you, so I can't really tell you even if they were here. Which I doubt, considering I've met pretty much everyone who is here."

She looks him over slowly.

"And who are you?"

[bwahahabeetle]

"I'm Ted Kord, and you're amazingly gorgeous." This is an attempt at a charming smile. Sure, it's a goofy one, but hey, she's gorgeous! May as well make the attempt.

"Nice to meet you."

"Mmm," she murmurs with a distinct lack of interest. She's looking around again. "Where is this place?"

Jim smiles and shrugs. "Not here, that'd be my guess. Well, they might be here, but I think your husband would have mentioned missing such a gorgeous other half."

Narcissa narrows her eyes at him. "And who are you?"

[headthataway]

"Captain James T. Kirk, ma'am. At your service." He grins at her, and maybe even winks before offering a hand to shake.

Narcissa ignores the hand and (luckily for him) the wink instead eyeing him even more arefully. "Captain?" She slowly adds "I find it difficult to believe that a boy such as yourself could possibly be the captain of anything."

"Probably not here, unfortunately," Babs says rather simply to the new arrival. "I'm sorry; you're probably stuck with the rest of us."

"The... rest of you..." she repeats slowly, looking Babs over.

"They're quite safe," says the other mother. "Tea?" She has a tray. With scones.

[golden_line]

"No, thank you," she says coolly "Who are you? And how do you know where they are? Where are they?" The questions may be close to demands. Narcissa says nothing of the woman's eyes. She's seen worse effects of spells gone wrong before.
