Yes, let's remove the whole checks and balances system when it's inconvienient.

Leaving civil right's issues up to the states is moronic at best. Who thinks women's suffrage would last 5 minutes in Utah? Blacks in Mississippi? Hello, slavery.

If the FEDERAL government hadn't stepped up to the plate - women would still be owned by her husband with no rights (baby making machines - exactly what Ron Paul wants). Blacks and minorities (atheists too) would be like slaves.

Let's continue...

"Paul introduced The Sanctity of Life Act of 2005, a bill that would have defined human life to begin at conception, and removed challenges to prohibitions on abortion from federal court jurisdiction. Defining embryos and fetuses as persons would make abortion murder and outlaw fetal stem cell research and some contraception and fertility treatments."

Isn't that cute. That's regular old BC - since one of the methods is "prevents implantation of an embryo." You won't want to live with me if I don't have my pills, honey.

The fence I can ignore as a kind appeal to the right wing base.

Umm the Sanctity of Life Act is a bit much. It is the one issue I vehemitly disagree with him on.

Federalism- I can take it or leave it.
I do have these two quick points to say on federalism.
1. On a state level my vote is 1/30 million and on the federal level my vote is one in 300 million
2. It's easier to move to a different state than it is to move to a different country.

Look between the entitlement programs and the empire building this country is going bankrupt. That is something that this nation needs to come to terms with FAST!

Because the fertility treatment effects us, I will look again at Burack Obama. He did signed a transparancy pledge, and if you can't have a small government I guess the next best thing is a transparent one.
