When you want rules to apply for everyone, and you advocate for changes that may actually make a dent in your own pocketbook, then that is the furthest thing from hypocrisy.
Obviously you need to read the dictionarythep0stmanJune 26 2004, 11:30:04 UTC
Advocating one thing, and acting the opposite way or doing the opposite of what you advocate is textbook hypocrisy. Additionally, if he advocated the laws be changed so that there are no loopholes to take advantage of in our tax system, and then he went around the system, it would go beyond hypocrisy and now be in the realm of a criminal act.
I've been reading your comments from electiondebate and I became nosy and took a gander at your personal journal. It says you have a military intelligence background which peaked my interest. I've been hired as an Imagery Intelligence Analyst by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (formerly NIMA) and I start within the next year. I just thought it was neat to see someone else with an intel interest.
My intelligence background is much different than yours, I'm afraid. Yours seems to be in the field of electronics. Mine is in the field of human interaction. My MOS was 97B in the Army, which is Counterintelligence. Recruiting sources and talking to the locals to gather intel was my game. I am interested in your work, though. Since it has been a while since you posted this message, how are you liking the work?
I haven't taken it yet. The thought of moving to Northern Virginia keeps delaying my acceptance. My work will be analysis of geospatial intelligence, spy plane photography, and satellite photography. A lot of 3-D spatial imagery and such. NGA makes a lot of maps, takes a lot of pictures, stuff like that.
Your work in counterintelligence sounds somewhat like what I hope to do eventually. I'm working on, assuming I do actually bite it and move to NOVA, doing 2 years of intel work for NGA and then moving to the counterterrorism or counterespionage unit(s) for the FBI. Such lofty goals, I know.
Sounds interesting. Do you have military experience or just electronic imaging training? I do know that they are looking for experienced, highly competent individuals for HUMINT right now. If you can, you should check it out ASAP. If you ever want to talk shop, just let me know.
I didn't want to comment in electiondebate about our personal lives and further but I'm curious so I thought I'd question you here.
I had TONS of friends at Colonial High School as I went Jackson Middle school and b/c of zoning most of my friends went to Colonial. May I ask what year you graduated?
