(for the record, i've always pictured that as seaweed in the place of pubic hair.) what is this about the court? dealing with two things of this magnitude at the same time can be so exhausting.. i'm sorry you're by yourself.
Yah, I'm thinking Adam's a putz and I'm going to leave him alone. The court judgment is that he overstayed our lease by 2 months and never payed rent. I never bothered to get my name off our lease because it was over at the end of July and I just assumed that he'd be moving out a week or 2 after me - he had found a new place and his dad was going to help him move and everything. turns out he didn't move out of the old place until september, and didn't pay the rent in that period of time. He's since spoken to the apartment complex's lawyer and is now making monthly payments. HOWEVER, keep in mind that I've been in Shanghai since the beginning of August, so I knew NOTHING of this. The only way I found out was because my Michigan taxes were "under review" and H+R Block needed copies of my former lease; I had it all faxed over to my dad, and my dad told me about the court judgment. One some level I just want to pay off the rest of Adam's debt so it's not hanging over me and my credit report forever. But I'm also kinda pissy and

A) I'm sure your mom loves you. My boyfriend's mom loves him TONS (believe me about this, he still calls her mommy and she is just nuts) but almost never calls, unless she has a computer problem. She waits for him to call. So. Call your mom.
B) Can I just take a wild stab in the dark and say that Adam didn't pay the rent? There's a reason I never signed a lease with him, I think. Didn't we pick him up from jail one time because of that? Or was it another reason? I can't remember anymore. Anyway, don't worry about Adam and his wallowing; he'll be fine, and I'm sure he realizes that he's at least partially at fault for his problems, even if he doesn't write like that.

A) I think you're right. it's just physically painful to note how poorly my mom takes care of herself, and how unhealthy her lifestyle is, and how unwilling she is to make any changes or let it go. B) you're SO right. he totally didn't pay rent - overstayed our lease by 2 months (I didn't take my name off the lease cause he had a new place in ypsi and everything!) and didn't tell me SHIT. we picked him up from jail for something else - something to do with his car. Can't remember what. C) yes please. I'll let you know as soon as I have something done.
