If anyone can tell me what that well written piece of dialogue is from ill give them two dollars! Yeah so im back and better than ever. I know i dont update much anymore, sorry. Whenever i sit down to write stuff that happened i start thinking about how freaking self-centered the whole idea behind this thing is. My life really isnt that important. ( Read more... )

Tell me about it... theperfectdoug December 29 2004, 22:57:59 UTC
Yeah, i just started my great winter tradition of playing Final Fantasy 7 followed by Final Fantasy 9 again. That combined with ESPN NFL 2K5 i have barely any time for anything that is constructive or good. I really liked your campaigns Destry, i liked the interaction with the characters you'd create and the non linear way things went. Plus the fact that you actually knew what you were doing helped like heck. Seriously when we started my game i was so totally lost. And as far as my creativity goes, i do think i come up with some cool stuff, but most of the plot from the last game was totally stolen from video games ive played and comic books ive read. Thats why im so into my current game because i tried really hard to not plagarize, AND IT WORKED! If you ever do get off that shift though and you DO start a game, please consider me! :)

If you can find you way to be at URI regularly, I may be running a game this semester. You'd be more than welcome. We need to hang out more.

Oh, yes. Yay Muppets! I wish they hadn't cancelled Muppets Tonight!

Yeah if you ran a game cliff id really love to be in it. My only complaint about most of the games running out of the gaming club is they end up with a lot of power gamers who are way more focused on individual accomplishment then group achievements. But if YOU started a game id definitely try to make it. Send me more details.

It's a little something i've had on a back burner of my mind for a few years now. I plan on making it very difficult to power-game. No starting high level. Every feat taken, every spell learned, every skill improved has to be justified. The best source of new skills is other party members.

It's called "The Quest for the Crown"

But, as far as dates and times and such, I'm still at a loss.

My bro's been talking about playing again for some time now. We just haven't been able to get a consistent group together for years. He actually does D&D adventures as an enrichment class at his elementary school! Wouldn't that have ruled when we were younger?

Hell yes that would have ruled! theperfectdoug December 29 2004, 23:02:00 UTC
Wow that would have been so great, i could have gotten started so much younger. Dude i didnt even know that you played, that rocks. D&D is awesome, and probably part of the reason you and i don't get many womens ;).

I actually haven't been able to listen to quadrophenia yet because i havent got my granddad's record player yet. But I've heard quite a bit off of it and i do really like it. Especially "Love Reign O'er Me". That song is just so intense and epic and fitting. Those guys are total geniuses any way you look at it. The albumn is beautiful too. The cover photo is amazing and the photo book inside! Im not sure if that came with the CD too but with the record it's like a full sized book on this really neat, thick paper. It's a cool little collectible.
Destry and Eric came over for new years and destry said that if his shift ever changes he'd really want to start a game. So lets hope, if not for anything else than because third shift sucks soooo much. I emailed you my number so id love to hear from you soon. Give me a call sometime!
