So yesterday Mandy, Kenny, Nakita and I went to Pride in Toronto. As usual, it was awesome. I didn't get to take as many pictures this year, but there's still a good bunch. Despite the fact that the parade was much, much longer than in years past and that there was a professional photographer humping me from behind and smashing his elbow into my head the entire time, I had a lot of fun. I hope next year we can actually stay for all the fun stuff that happens after the parade. Such as dancing and drinking.
At Fran's for breakfast.
Getting some of the parade organized at Church & Bloor.
This year's theme was Fearless so there were a lot of superheroes, especially Super(wo)man.
People watching the parade from on top of buildings, as usual.
Firefighters!!! The guy in the cowboy hat was throwing a bitch fit because he was getting sprayed with a water gun from the crowd, while the topless guy enjoyed it and sprayed back.
AIDS awareness float.
Polar Ice float. This year there was a woman on it! Blasphemy!
There were a lot of strong political messages this year.
The only two parties present were the Green Party and the NDP. Jack Layton and his wife rode a two-seater at the front of their supporters.
Creepy puppet things.
Mandy's lurver.
This is the asshole who kept screaming in some foreign langauge and squishing me to get photos.
Oh, those Anglicans.
I love this guy's expression.
Two-spirited.
Workin' at the car wash!
Hol(l)a!
Every minute or so she would rip up another picture of Stephen Harper.
My Rocky Horror Picture Show peeps!
Lots of corporate sponsors, including Motorola.
Veronica! (Nick's friend.)
After the parade we were super-hot and our feet were super-sore so we took a dip in Lake Devo, which is really just a man-made pond on campus at Ryerson. This was the first time I'd ever seen it filled with (non-frozen) water.
