death. i hope your friend read this. it is funny how God even uses livejournal...this seemingly safe place to pour your heart out. i too, am disheartened by some of the things that pour out of my friends hearts. maybe we pray for the same hurting friends sometimes. you know once, when i was in high school, i feel like God gave me a precious nugget of truth about prayer. he reminded me of the carebear movies i used to watch when i was little. the carebears would fight evil with color spectrums of light that came from their bellies. every carebear had his or her own color and design that came from his or her belly, and the more "carebear stares" were focused on the bad guy, the better it worked. when you get hit with a carebear stare, all the evil just flies right out of you. God told me to think of prayer kind of like that. like a stare. focused. and told me to remember that praying together is really sweet and encouraging.
