Ahh, well, it seems others are putting in their votes for cats, so I'll put in a vote for cat, too. Cats make good pets, I have one back at home myself.

Ooh~ Picking out pets are fun~ I have a cat and a puffskein named Tinkerdoodle~ Cheesecake is lazy and sleeps all day and Tinklerdoole can't walk so she sits on my pillow til I come home~~

Well, when you choose, keep in mind the feeding requirements, how often they need care such as cleaning up after and room for exercise as well as attention from you.

And make certain you can afford all those things. Might not seem such a problem here, but when you get home, you'll feel the pinch.
