So, I'm home alone again this weekend, and we're out of milk. I don't drive, and the grocery store is too far away for me to walk there. So instead of putting nasty expired milk in my coffee, I melted a few teaspoons of vanilla ice cream into my cup. Awesome ( Read more... )

Tale Plushies and Alborada! anonymous September 17 2008, 01:13:25 UTC
Your Tale of Two Cities plushies are AMAZING!! I am so impressed! You make musical theatre dolls and you own Alborada... I hereby dub you my new internet best friend. Have you noticed that the actor who plays Martin in Alborada look scarily like James Barbour????

Aww, thank you! They were so fun to make, and to give out to everybody. That cast is truly amazing, and so genuine at the stage door. <333

ahahaha I actually haven't watched Alborada in forever, but now I'll have to watch it again. That's crazy!

How long does it take you to make one?
I saw Tale in Florida and can't wait to see it in NYC. About Alborada, think James Barbour around '95, when he was doing Beauty and the Beast in LA. The hair really is the kicker - totally Martin. Are you a novela fan in general?

When I do a big batch of them, like with Tale, I start pretty early- I had Lucie finished way back in June, and the rest took about two months, give or take a few days. When I make just one, it'll take anywhere from a few days to a month- it all depends on inspiration and the amount of detail.

Wow, lucky you! Wish I could've seen it in Florida, but alas, I'm stuck in the Northeast =P I saw the first preview, and I'm hooked. I'm hoping to go again as soon as possible- maybe before the end of September.

I've only ever seen Alborada and Rebelde, and a few others I can't remember now. I started watching them when I was sick for a year, and couldn't get up off the couch. The Spanish channels were all I watched during that time XD I've been meaning to get back into novelas, but I've forgotten all my high school Spanish lessons.
