You make a very good but objective point. Your insight however causes me to question if you have ever been in love yourself? I have to say that I had the exact same view that you did before I fell in love. But I think that faith is one of the most beautiful things- its what makes us human- to believe in something so strongly that you sacrifice and go to great lengths to maintain it. How is that shallow? I'm not attacking you.. I'm just curious
