I just got back from seeing the Fiery Furnaces. Now, I've never claimed to love them, and I'm not saying that now. But I do like them, especially after tonight. Part of the reason I was a late-adopter is that I was put off by their general art-fagginess. Eventually, that didn't bother me as much and I just focused on the parts I liked. Tonight

yeah, it's really not so much the girls themselves as what they're doing. in the first one, the girl is actually sort of weird looking. i mean, i know they're probably trying to be subtly sexual, so i feel sort of bad for buying into it. but still, i wonder if that's actually possible.

a whole bunch of things are teaming up to make me really miss it. isn't it just living situation goings-on that make you not want to be there? as opposed to the city itself, i mean.
