1. Perhaps understandably, the 20th anniversary of Chernobyl is getting woefully little attention. I don't usually go in for the pornography of tragedy (and it's hard to avoid on this story), but I did come across two fantastic pieces. Well, I said mine looked a lot better - much less processed-looking. That really just means his were perfectly constructed. But it looks like he had a similar problem with his hot dogs.
And I'm glad you kind of had fun. I'm sure a bunch of kids subscribed.

The bacon burger dog indeed looks revolting, even if I were to imagine it as a vegetarian knockoff. I'm slightly comforted knowing that yours looked much better.

Also, in France the anniversary of Chernobyl actually got a good bit of publicity, with lots of special stories in all the big newspapers, and documentaries on every channel for about a week.

Thanks for letting me know - about the Chernobyl thing, of course. And that's really good news. It seems like France, more than any other country, should never forget what happened. As only a hesitant advocate of nuclear power, I never know whether to be really envious of France's situation or really scared.
