The Facts About That "Fetus Diary" Anti-Abortion Meme.

OK, El Jay!! I was on the MySpace yesterday, and as it happens I saw yet another copy of the "fetus diary" anti-abortion chain letter posted as a bulletin. Twice. So I says to myself, enough is enough! I'm tired of the "too human to be a choice" billboard on Route 690, that shows a fetus too old to abort! I'm tired of the blatant lies pandering ( Read more... )

Matt saw a bumper sticker yesterday that I really, really want. It says:
"It's not a choice, it's a delicious child."

I gotta give you credit...it takes some effort to find the real truth behind the politics, media, and general information tidal wave of the internet. Good digging.

I would briefly point out the less desirable aftermath, after the choice has been made. It's not so nice, and you don't have to dig far to find that.

Politically speaking though, even if the evangelicals had their way, people would still be killing their own young. I learned that all the legislation in the world does not ultimately render the attitude of our hearts and the condition of our souls. If we ever change for the better as a nation, (no matter what issue) it must be from within the hearts of the people. got revival?

Thanks. Two hours I will never get back XDD

Yes, the less desirable aftermath of being saddled with whiny screaming children. I see it all over the place XDDD. Seriously, though, the key word in "ProChoice" is "choice", and if someopne chooses not to abort, we're all fine and dandy with that. As far as what i think you were referring to, that there are women who regret their abortions, yes, that does happen. And for every woman who wishes she hadn't aborted, there's one whose life couldn't have gone forward if she hadn't. People have different experiences, and that is why legitimate, good clinics will never perform abortions on any woman who has not undergone counseling or shows the slightest doubt about what she wants.

Oh definitely, just look at prohibition. One reason I'm vehemently for legalized abortion is to keep a procedure that will happen regardless of legality safe.
