It was a general they to replace the he or she. And I was at least half right. You're definitely braindead. That, or you can't read.

This is an implied Masculine language. Regardless of the true gender of the subject - also often implied - a Masculine subject is more suitable than the general "they" almost 100% of the time.

Learn your Grammar and etymology before you try to sound smart.
