Cranky Neal is cranky.

I swear I have non-White Collar musings to post about sometime soon, but I've managed to stay terribly busy for the last few days and haven't had time to get on it. In the meanwhile ( Read more... )

I think you're right about Peter deliberately trying to drive Neal out of the room, but I did have to giggle over the Oscar-and-Felix bit with Neal getting all prissy about his couch. And Peter and June taking over the breakfast table was SUCH a hoot. It's always such a shameless joy to see Neal disgruntled by Peter, when it's so often the other way around. (However, I must say that Neal's smooth moments, like at the beginning, were really cool to watch.) Though Neal's "so many reasons" at the end left me a wee bit sad. I wanted to say, "Guys! Come on! You're friends! Hug and make up!"

Oh, and I loved the guys blurting out each other's secrets. The moment Peter made the "don't tell" gesture, I knew Neal was going to tell. Payback, baby!

And LOLOLOL over "Wipe your feet!"

No Elizabeth! No Mozzie! No Satch! I am bereft. I like Lauren and June, but they don't make up for the loss. What we really need is to throw a party where they're all invited, even the dog. (Satch, I mean, not that feral dog from last night!)

I noticed the lack of Elizabeth and Mozzie, too, and I definitely missed them. But then I'm kind of relieved that the show would rather set them aside for one episode than try to wedge them in without giving them anything special to do. (Or maybe the actors just weren't available that week, and they would have done something special otherwise? We may never know...) Anyway, I hope they make up for it by highlighting them in the coming weeks. Mozzie, especially, got some great scenes the last time they threw a finale!

the fence, while not really memorable, was more believable as both a grown-up and a former associate of Neal's than the actress who plays his true love, Kate.

Yes to this! I kept thinking, "well, if she were Kate, it wouldn't be quite so bad."

Do you want to know my brother's name? Do you want to guess?

She certainly had plenty of extensions! So that's... something? (Seriously, where did White Collar get this idea that women look like models and men are interesting. I mean, I know all the women on all the other tv shows are gorgeous, and Neal and Peter and male co. are no slouches in the looks department, but they're so good at avoiding the stereotypes with Peter and Elizabeth, why is it SO HARD for them to introduce female guest stars who are as much fun as Dan?)

I was thinking... Moomin? Yes, that's my top guess.
