That very pretty broach makes me think - I went to a wedding about a month ago, did I mention, and saw a girl in a cute dress with very ecclectic, cool accessories which included a similar broach (only silver and clear crystal) which she had placed in a circular fan of bright blue feathers and pinned in her hair. It was completely fantastic. I had a somewhat random conversation with her in the ladies room where I found out that she'd made it/put it together with the feathers herself.

Anyway, it made me think of you immediately. She had the same sort of bold spirit with creative accessorizing. Have I told you this already? Anyhow, the broach is similar, so it made me think back. Babble babble babble...
