Is anybody else watching Being Human right now? (Or previously, for that matter - if you were fortunate enough to get it when it first aired in the UK ( Read more... )

How was it? I watched a few minutes of a few episodes, for Russell Tovey, but when it didn't click immediately, I didn't follow through. The other two actors weren't as appealing to me, although I think the vampire was involved in a possibly interesting storyline.

Sounds like you had an awesome day! Hurrah!

You know, when I try to think of words that describe my attachment to Being Human, it comes across sounding a lot like Merlin. Like, I think the three main characters are sweet kids, and I kind of want to huggle them type-thing ( ... )

Just Dr. Who, actually. An old, old episode - the one where Nine becomes Ten. I was watching it on Youtube the other day.

Well, if it's any consolation, the series is only six episodes, and then there's the pilot. So it doesn't take that long to watch. And it's not on Youtube right at the moment, either, so I'm sure you can put off watching it until whenever you get around to it ( ... )

Hahaha. I guess I didn't sufficiently explain that LotS is a bad show. Or at least, not a very good one. Really I think Richard and Kahlan are the only two decent actors on there. Zed is terrible (though it's hard to tell if he's a ridiculously hammy actor or a decent actor playing a ridiculously hammy character) and the guest actors are almost all atrocious. (I like it when you can hear their New Zealand accents, though!) And the plot is 100% Fantasyland Conventions. In spite of all this, I somehow find it gosh-darn adorable. Can't explain ( ... )

You know, that makes A LOT more sense - about the 'Sword of Truth' having some actual truthy property to it, I mean. I'm also kind of confused about how Kahlan's power is supposed to work, since she can't read minds, but nobody can lie to her, but when people can lie to her she can settle the issue by giving them the Dementor's Kiss and finding out afterward if they deserved it or not. Especially since she can't have sex with anybody she actually likes (but can only 'take as her mate' some enemy that she's already confessed for some other reason, in order to make Confessor babies - yuck), I feel comfortable saying that she got dealt a pretty craptastic power ( ... )
