I looked into rental houses quite a bit when we were searching for apartments. For that price I say, good luck. I was able to find the tiniest house in the world kinda near Mississippi for $800/month but it was gone in a flash.

Keep your eye on the prize though, and who knows.

yeah that's what i figure too, so looks like it'll be an apartment. but a decent 2 BR apartment can be found for $800. ours was $695 when we first moved in!
