Yes I totally agree with Cora that the no friends thing is wacko! ( And sad). Who doesn't have even a handful of great friends who they'd want to introduce to their new love?

And the eyeball staring into stuff gave me goosebumps. Sounds like freaking Gary from Ottawa. Ewwwwww

Trust your gut!! And really, anyone who has lived in Nashville for 7 years and hates it is some kind of sociopath :) I think your assessment is correct. To have no close friends and no professional achievements to speak of at his age is definitely a warning sign. Hey, my professional life is in the shitter right now and I'm not one to cast stones, but I can point to at least a handful of booyah moments I've had along the way. All this to say, false advertising is illegal, and a repackaging of harlequin romance boy is not gonna win any points with you - anyone who remotely knows you should really know this.

You are SO fucked up...You are SO FUCKED UP! :)
I don't get it. I see the red flags, and the reason for your diconnect. COME ON JENN!! Aren't you the one that is always so enthusiastic about new relationships? Aren't we all? Shouldn't we be??? If you "felt it" then you would be LOVING the cupping the face, deep breaths, etc. Why are you making excuses? You don't like the guy, why can't you just say I DON'T LIKE THE GUY??

Uhhh, who wrote the above comment?

And for the record, I really DID like the guy..

Until he started moving at warp speed and the red flags started waving.. But yeah, that's what dating is about.. I'll still get excited about dating, but I'm definitely going to heed future warning signs..

Psycho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anonymous January 6 2009, 12:46:56 UTC
Jen,
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to the lengthy application we designed to prevent this very issue from ever occurring again? Clearly, "Mr Frog" would have failed the required income level. You wouldn't have wasted 4-5 weeks of your life, if the application had been used properly as discussed. It is never to late to request the application be completed, even though it is clear he would fail on or about question #3, if not sooner.
While, everyone on some level needs therapy, I don't believe you are the psycho in this scenario. I love you on day 3 would scare the hell out of homely girl from high school.
My advice... RUN RUN VERY FAR and do not let him fly to Raleigh! Restraining Orders are good! Since we live right around the corner please feel free to call, if you need us to help scare him away.

Love
Jen

Hello Jen.
Quite amusing story of another outtake of your life in the search for true love and a soulmate/hubby/partner... I'm sorry that you seem to attract the ones that require med's or some other sort of help.
Anyways I am seriously thinking about signing you up for The Bachelorette. Jen agrees with it. :) They shold be doing the auditioning soon.
I hope everything else is going well.
Rene
