First I am really tired of all this talk and looking down on those who don't vote, it is our God given right in this country to vote or not. It is called choice people and I made mine. Now there is reason in my madness and one major reason is that I know that my one little vote will have no impact what so ever against the masses of other voters out ( Read more... )

The only problem with that theory is it works for one person, and one person only. If people just sit at the wayside and watch things happen, well then they might as well not live in a democracy. Don't get me wrong, it is yer right not to vote, but it's also my right to bitch at you for not voting, lol. If anything you shoulda just voted for nader, he woulda felt special.

ok so where you are very right in choosing not to vote, I have to disagree with you on the fact that "your vote doesnt matter, anyway, so why vote?"
can you even IMAGINE if everybody thought that way? NO ONE WOULD VOTE. and we'd be stuck with the decions of the people who DID get off their ass to vote. or even dint get off their ass and sent in absentee!! (not that hard). Did you know that this year there was a voter increase of 115%?? THAT'S A LOT. If all those people didnt vote, I'm pretty sure we'd have a different outcome. Its rediculous to say your vote doesnt matter, cuz they ALL add up. ok i dunno what im going off on but I just had to say that.Also, I think our votes would matter more to people if we didnt have the fucking Electoral College system... I did a huge debate on it senior year and the system is FUCKED.

I wouldn't or couldn't hate you unless you give me a reason and not agreeing with me is not a reason.

For one I am not you or anyone else so I made the choice to not, I am not saying that people overall should or should not vote, that is up to them. I personally won't waste my time with it on the fact I don't think it is as important as other think it is. Yet again this is just me. But I will give you that it would matter more if we didn't have a electoral college but if we did get rid of the system, we would probably go into chaos.
