Good to hear from you, Scott. Happy New Year!

The hair and fashion sound entertainingly dreadful. I expect more fun stories about that.

Why thank ya, sir. :)
Yeah, I really wish I could get some pics of these guys, but it would be hard. I may start keeping a "diary" of them so I can give good in-depth descriptions of each of them.

Grrr... I am a diehard Superman fan - Just of the movie... The flying sequences still hold up for me...
Especially since they weren't blue-screened or green screened... simple storytelling, without being too high tech, if you just ignore all the water FX at the end with the dam. Not bad for 1978.

I may change my mind when I see it again in HD one of these days...

LOL, I completely expected you to pipe up on that topic. I hadn't seen the movie in years, and after seeing it now, and knowing that Star Wars came out at the same time...I was kinda picky on Supe. Granted, Star Wars is in space, and the special effects are easier to fake in fantasy rather than a guy flying in the real world. And I like Richard Donner a lot. I love Goonies and The Omen.

There are certain things I look for... and if you compare superman to superman 2 of god forbid..3... it is night and day...

Ah, but Superman 2 was filmed simultaneously to Superman. Richard Donner had roughly 75% of part 2 done before they made him stop and focus on completely part 1. Then they fired him and had Richard Lester finish part 2. So a lot of part 2 was made around the same time as part 1.

The original "Superman" movie is an American classic! What do you mean it does not hold up?!? He's clearly flying in the movie...what's not to believe?!?

:)

Love ya, man!
