Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation ( Read more... )

Preachy tendencies are the best types of tendencies. Will you put that in the zine?

sorry, I feel the need to point out the mind-bloggling IRONY that is in your entry- I mean, it's just glaring out at me.
Your entire entry, and what it represents was completely based on a quotation. Isn't that almost laughable? The fact that your passion in this entry right now--- is already confoundable in that the base on which it was built upon was on the very thing it disputes with????
Your entire entry as a whole--- just proved the point of the Genius that Is Wilde :)

Yes I know, its quite ironic. Its an aspect that i commented on at the beginning of the piece.

"Have our passions become a quotation? That I have chosen to quote this statement about our tendency to quote is in itself an oddity of you think about it. For as it says, most people tend to express their own feelings and emotions through the words and art of others."

Thus I am fully aware of this "mind boggling IRONY" you speak of but kudos to you for noticing it, you are one sharp cookie.

wow guys. you're definitely out of my smartness league here!! but i totally agree with everything you say... ugh i'm such a canadian idol tool! erp. but it's true, even when we're finding references for an essay or something, we end up taking others' opinions as opposed to our own. hmmm.
NICKIB DUDE, good points all around.

Wow. You know, if you take out "boobies" and some of the mild curses, I bet you could pass that off as an essay for English/Art/Writer's Craft. I do agree with you though. There are so many people who try to fit a certain persona - and it influences their lives to such an extent that they become GaGa Kids. Kudos for the brill observations.

All we hear is, radio GAGA!

See I just quoted Queen! OH THE IRONY OF IT ALL! But thanks, I tried to express my views on the subject but as Cheryl would sy its all quite contradictory. Oh well I think we should all make an effort to figure out the benefits and hindrances of our culture and work on ways to improve it!

Thanks Michal,

Everyone's a tool. I used to specifically point out all the tools in society, the ones that wrapped themselves up in this so called "blanket of ignorance" and zipped up their jacket of culture to go out and face the world. But now I've come to the realization that pointing out and judging identities makes me the biggest tool of all, and I should just as well get off my pedestal and see myself for who I am too ( ... )
