Entry #4

Nov 01, 2006 17:20

May I just say to Mister Boot of Ravenclaw that this football tournament was a lovely idea? Well, since (a) I already said it and (b) it's my journal so I can write whatever I like it (which doesn't mean that I will, unlike some other people in my year), that statement is sort of self-defeating, but nevermind. It's so nice to see students who don't ( Read more... )

Thank you, Alicia. Though right now I'm seeing it as more trouble than it's worth.

I'd say, "No, it's a great idea," but then he might think I'm gloating and get angry at me and I don't think I could handle another angry bloke right now. Um, Terry, I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry about my housemates' comments and the charmed "L's" and I've been trying to get them to stop but I think the win has gone to their heads.

Will you be alright?

Uh oh! I'm fine...I just don't like having my beliefs that stereotypes are dead rocked.

I wish they'd remember that was only the last group match. There's still semi's. Which we're both still a part of. You'll be playing Ernie's team and we'll be playing EBIL.

But stereotypes are dead. Alicia and I haven't been gloating, after all. Besides, given the circumstances around the win I don't think we have anything to gloat about anyway. You were the better team and even Smith admitted that some of the calls Neadly Headless Nick made were dodgy. I don't like winning when it's not through being the better team. It feels ugly.

And you have Slytherins playing with Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws and everyone has made new friends that they wouldn't have otherwise I hope you become more than my friend eventually. You're to be commended!

This is all my fault. If I hadn't broken my ankle then you would have won and no one would be making fun of your house.

Yes, you still have that to look forward to! So just try and forget about that game and look to the future! I know the way you made it to the semis pongs but at least you're there.

Didn't think the Gryffindors had it in them to be so vindictive. Kind of puts us to shame.

Oi, we're not all like that! I've been going around trying to get people to shut up and you just have to look at the journal entry you're reading to know it's not true. See? Alicia. Not vindicative. Gryffindor.

That's only one person. I can name two dozen less savoury Gryffindors - well, I would, if I bothered to learn their names.

Plus Spinnet's always been special and is hardly representative of that bunch of loudmouth idiots.

Oh, and what house do I belong to do? Sparklypoo? I'm a Gryffindor and I've been telling everyone I've heard making such remarks to knock it off. Victoria Frosbisher has been doing the same. See? At least three people.

I don't doubt that she is I hope Terry thinks I'm special.

The glowing 'L's were pretty mean, weren't they? Do we know who made them?
Weasley is our King is, however, a brilliant song. Whichever Slytherin came up with that tune should be a professional.

Some fourth years. Not Dennis Creevey or Natalie McDonald, but some other ones from our house.

It is a nice tune, but I wish it was put to better use than what it has been in the past.

How you have the patience to do your job, I have no idea, It would kill me.

Hmm, I think the whole glowing L thing was a bit lame. Why bother? There are plenty more productive things they could be doing with their time.

They'll also be very embarrassed if Team O'Malley loses their semi against whoever it is they're playing.

Well, in any career you have to start at the bottom of the ladder. Once I've been doing this for a while I'll be able to assist scholars with their research, which would be significantly more interesting than this.

Quite. Though I would feel sorry for Miss Patil as the team lost since she seems to have been trying to calm the more enthusiastic Gryffindors down. And Misters Finnigan and Thomas can be a bit over-exhuberant, but I don't think they would have it in them to come up with some of the nastier things that have been done.

I believe they are playing against the all-Hufflepuff side.
