Ughh I've just been struggling with writing in general. I feel blocked right now. Could be because it's fsking hot and I'm operating without air conditioning, but I feel so awful considering one of these stories is for somebody else. Urk. I know how it ends, though, so that's a terrific sign.

And apparently now all I want to write is Richard/Jacob. lol que

As for what's my favorite part of writing? Besides finishing: telling a story.

Least favorite part?: uhh, not finishing anything? idk I generally love writing when I'm not being slow.

Oooh, and administrative stuffs: I'm cool with biweekly and doubly cool with fixed days. I like regularity in my schedule, what can I say.

Oh, summer. I understand, the heat can make not want to move a single finger. But as for the troubles you've been having, is it usually more difficult for you, writing for someone else?

And apparently now all I want to write is Richard/Jacob. lol que
lol, que? No, actually, I've seen this pairing all over! I think it got immensely popular this season. But anyway, you gotta write what appeals to you!

Oh, and thank you for the two cents - I agree, myself, I like a little regularity but you never know, right? I'll take everyone's answer and try to find the best scheduling format.

Oh, there's no legit lol que about me writing my beloved Jacardo. I'm just amused that I fell for it so hard. I used to ship it on purely aesthetic terms and then season six and RP got the better of me. And now I'm just in love with that ship for purely character dynamic reasons.

Currently working on my Lennon/Cindy Sci-Fi Big Bang. Well, when I mean working, I mean outlining. And I only have just over 5 weeks left of a 25,000 word project I haven't even officially started. :/

Hm, I think my favorite part of writing is the researching part. Through researching, you get so many other ideas that make your original idea grow into something bigger than you originally planned.

Well, big bangs take a lot of courage, I'll tell you that. I'd say outlining is already a big start! Figuring out where I'm going is always the hardest part of writing for me, personally, so having the whole story outlined would be halfway done. You have quite a free background with these two characters, it oughta be interesting to write that much about them.

Oh, that's wonderful! What kind of research do you usually do? With Lost, I've found myself doing all sorts of "landscape research", so I can write about the places I want to put the characters in (or the places they grew up in) without making a fool of myself, and sometimes to figure out what was going on in the 70's.

I usually do a lot of pop culture research if I'm writing about a certain era, or research on scientific things. I also do a lot of that "landscape research" you mentioned, I usually want to know as much about their surroundings as possible.

- Still trucking along on the post-series work I'm doing. I don't know if that'll be my final LOST-fic or not. In any case, it's not going to be done particularly soon. I'm just happy work is moving smoothly on it.

- The best part of writing for me is when a plot point just smacks together in my head and I know exactly where a story is going next. It can be just after exercise, or while getting dinner together, or nearly any moment, but I'll just freeze and go OH, SO THAT'S HOW THAT'LL WORK! Often I have to run to the notepads right then and jot it down.

-The least favorite are the occasional long moments before the above moment, where I'm wandering around going 'oh god, I don't know what to do. Oh crap. Oh crap.'

Every two weeks has been more than fine, and a fixed day also sounds good to me. I don't have a preference on what day.

Oh, that is a lovely moment in writing, when inspirations comes from nowhere and it's almost like it isn't your own - but at the same time it's very intimate.

And yes, definitely, being stuck is awful. But it feels extra great when you get out of it. lol.

I'm chugging along on the multi-chapter third part of my trilogy and hope to have it done before the summer's out. Then I'll do my Art of Writing Bocke (and other shippy matters, seeing as how it's a tiny ship and I want others to be able to contribute) in the fall. Biweekly sessions are fine by me, and I don't have a preference for which day. I can't think of a theme at the moment, but will come back and comment again if I do ( ... )

Right now I'm putting the finishing touches on a fic from a prompt meme I posted in October (*winces*) and hoping I'm not the worst flist buddy ever for posting a fic eight months after it was requested -- yikes! Better later than never, maybe? ;D After that I've got two more from that same meme I'm really hoping to finish, and then I was considering a bingo card/lyrics meme to get the muse going -- I'm finding the end of the show's put a damper on any inspiration, unfortunately -- but I think I'm going to wait until the luau instead. Should be a ton of fantastic prompts coming out of that ( ... )
