I hate it when this happens: when my mouth gets away from me and it's only some time after when I realize that it in fact has overtaken me and steamrolled on ahead.

How can you take back words?  Because the verb take back is so literal, how do you take back something that's not tangible?  I KNOW this lesson already, and perhaps until i LEARN it I
