I had to put down my 17 year old cat last year. It is still a really empty house without him and we all miss him. But part of me thinks that sometimes our dearest friends have to leave us so that we can give our love to others. You can bet though that if there ever is such a place as heaven, the first thing I'm asking is "Where's my cat?" :)

I am sorry about Wombie, you seemed like faithful companions to one another.
