cotton socks

I am in a quandary. I like to wear plain old cotton socks but I can't find any to buy. The men's section often has them but not he women's. Does anyone know where I can buy cotton socks (size 7 women's ) in Melbourne? The situation is getting urgent, I am going bare foot.
