Uh, so I just signd up for Yuletide? (?????!!!) I have never done this before, but I've been having such a slump in my writing lately that I wanted to change things up. I've always loved writing from prompts and assignments so hopefully this will work.
The Avengers: Well, somehow or other I was incepted big time into loving Tony/Steve, so if you could work that at all into whatever you write, I would love you forever. I can't get enough of the trope of Tony showing Steve what our century is like and how awesome it can be. That said, I also love ensemble pieces to smithereens.
Crazy, Stupid, Love: Like literally everyone else in the world, I fell in love with the scene between Hannah and Jacob. I would love, love, love to see more of that type, where they learn about each other and like each other all the more for it.
Chrestomanci: There should always be more writing in all of Diana Wynne Jones's series. And now that she has tragically passed, it is our burden, fellow ficcers, to carry. I had a hard time picking characters, but ultimately I am most interested in seeing behind the scenes, when Christopher and Millie fall in love. Diana Wynne Jones, bless her heart, was pretty vanilla. Which is probably good since I started reading her when I was eleven or so. But now I want more. Millie is always described as plain and Christopher as devastatingly handsome, but I just know they are passionate about each other and I want to see it.
NB: Whatever rating you feel comfortable writing is fine with me. I like G and I like NC-17. If you are going to write explicitly, I should just tell you that light bondage is pretty much the only thing that doesn't set off my embarrassment squick. (I know, I know, after I complained about Diana Wynne Jones being too vanilla and everything.)
Last but not least: THANK YOU. You are a gentle(wo)man and a scholar. Whatever you choose to write I know I will love. So please don't stress too much about how I got carried away with these helpful tips and write whatever your little heart desires.
ETA: Um, I feel like I should apologize for the wank that happened in the comments. It's not really a big deal, but I just want to assure people that this is not the way things are usually done around here. All the same, I won't stand to be pushed around.
