[Pete's been avoiding the turkey since his phone call with Ray, but the scene in front of him is hard to ignore. He didn't realize she had wings on top of everything else.]

Now there's something you don't see every day.

[Her other set is even weirder! See icon.

Though these were rather new in either case, so he probably missed them between this that and the other thing.

Flandre stops manhandling the turkey wing a moment to chirp over her shoulder.]

Oh, hello.

I guess we're not having dinner as a family. Your mother will be so disappointed.

[It's said sarcastically. He can't stand the drone, really. He'd much rather starve.]

[Flandre looks briefly mollified!

...then remembers:]

But I don't have a mother.

...or I guess I did because I had to, but I don't remember her so she must not be important.

Don't touch it!

[SHE CHECKED. THE PARTS AREN'T GROWING BACK WHEN REMOVED clearly it is borked.]

It's from the town, so I'm sure there's something wrong with it! In any case, try to have as little to do with it as possible. Throw it away.

That isn't a giant chicken. It's a turkey. They're usually much larger then chickens.

I don't know if it's safe either though.

...but it's too big to be a turkey. The chest part is all puffed out, like there were feathers there but aren't.

[Poking at it with the dull end of the nearest fork, that counts as safe doesn't it?]

...What are turkeys like from where you are? These are what cooked turkeys look like normally for this place.

[No. No it doesn't. Stop that.]

They're...turkey-shaped. Instead of looking like...that.

[SHE'S FINDING IT HARD TO ARTICULATE THIS except as a "well it looks like itself" answer.]

But it looks like a ball with legs!

[CLEARLY CHICKENLIKE.]

And one wing because I pulled the other wing off.

Human beings raise the turkeys to be super fat so they'll have a lot of meat on them when they're eaten.

It's pretty good.

Oh. That must be how the chicken got so big, then.

[If her voice sounds a tad faint it's because she's just put the receiver down on the counter somewhere to poke at this strange poultry with a fork.]
