In fact, she had no experience in it, and was doing pretty poorly as things went.

But she was at least trying, if nothing else. And even more, trying to stay out of the eyes of any passing strangers. But a bright girl in a grody city can't go unnoticed for long.

[Well an equally bright boy with a cheerful little Plusle on his shoulder won't go much more unnoticed either. Though the Pokemon is the one who points towards Fuu, just about bouncing on the boy's shoulder.]

Hm? What- over there? [The boy steps into the cafe and looks around.]

Welcome to--[She turns to the door, and nearly drops the nearly-empty pitcher she's carrying.

A thousand thoughts rush through her head at once, most of them being trying to figure out the probability of this Ferio being her Ferio, specifically.]

Fuu? [For the first person he recognizes here to be his girlfriend of all people- he crosses the short distance to her almost in a hurry, beaming. Meanwhile Plusle hops off his shoulder to greet her as well.]

Fuu! I- It's so good to see you. [It doesn't occur to him for a moment that she could be a different Fuu. Why would there be different versions of the same person, after all? that would be downright silly...]

It is yo--Here, have a seat. [She scrambles a bit to lead him to a table, giving Plusle a pat hello. She leaves Minun's pokeball on the table.]

I should be getting off soon--I-I think we're going to need to talk.

[And in comes Samus just before it's time to go in for her show, wanting to check up on her. She takes a seat in a booth and when Fuu comes by to take her order she gives her the usual--a hamburger swimming in ketchup and some fries--then smiles up at Fuu.]

Very well. [she beams, though inside she more feels like crying]

No problem. I figure getting you set up is better than letting the streets around here eat you alive. You having any trouble or you good so far?

I couldn't ask for more help. I'll be saving my pay to find a place of my own. I should hope it doesn't take long.
