Well, no worky for me for the second day in a row! I have a special project to do, but it involves J consulting with another employee first, and I guess he didn't have time to do that yesterday. I didn't find out until, like, 11:00 last night that I wouldn't be working. But it's always a nice surprise ( Read more... )

Thanks! I've ironed 9 shirts so far!

I hate ironing.

Boo hiss...thats not fun! I guess it has to be done, though. Maybe you should take a bubblebath to make up for it, though.

Good luck with switching DSL providors. Just keep in mind, you might get your bill from someone else and it might have better connections to the internet, but your connection from the house to the central office will remain on BellSouth cable and wires. If your problems are due to bad DSL line, switching providers won't fix it (but newprovider might have better leverage with BStelephones).

I'm strongly considering cable. Anything would be better than the frustration I've had lately with it. I mean, it was out from about 6:30 last night until about 1/2 hour ago, and BellSouth doesn't seem the least bit concerned about it. They just tell me there isn't an outage.

Actually, I wouldn't even mind dial-up with one of those accelerator thingys. Still pondering my options.

And you need a userpic, DX. =)

Heck if you already have cableTV, go for cable internet access! I just wish I could get either. We're too far in the country.

http://www.dslreports.com

They have information on every provider in the nation, prices, performance, etc. It's a great site! I use their speed tests from time to time as well! Oh yeah, and they don't just do DSL, they do cable too. ;)

I hope it helps, hon!
