I have it but I'm not really using it yet, probably because I don't have many other friends using it.

Do you think of it as something you'd use with friends? I guess I was thinking of it as a work tool. (Am I being unimaginative about technology again?)

A friend and I have done some collaborative writing. Mostly it's in a set of Google docs files that we work on at different times, with conversation happening sporadically in IM. It would be nice to have that stuff all together. It would also be nice if we had more plot, because neither of us is too good at that ( ... )

I thought of another thing. I have Google Calendars shared with TAs for stuff happening on different courses. But we have the conversations about them in e-mail.

Yeah, that's the sort of thing I was thinking about using it for. I was just wondering if anyone had specific projects and experiences they felt like sharing information about.

I just got a bunch of invitations and invited sinboy, so now we can use it to collaborate on blog posts instead of drafting them in our crappy draft-eating blog software. And my brother wanted to use it to plan Thanksgiving, though I suspect that would mostly turn into a chat-room-style litany of complaints about our mother. *)

Google Wave is like one of those things you pick up at a jumble sale out of curiousity: "Looks interesting, maybe one day I'll figure out what it's good for."

Quite often they turn out to be the broken off door handle from a Victorian folly, in which case they'll get shelved with the rest.

I haven't given up, yet, though. Maybe it can turn out to be useful for collaborative music projects? Has it got a plugin thingy for MIDI, music notation or abc yet?

Oh interesting, I bet I could use it for getting feedback on the dances I write. Thanks for the thought!

i've not yet, but i've heard of people using it for d&d, and can see how it could be helpful for that sort of thing

As i don't have that many friends on it, i haven't tried it yet. But i'm looking into it, because it may be a helpfull communication medium for internal communication in the organisation i'm working for.
