What a beautiful message for such a humble, unassuming trooper with such rich history to share. We are truly blessed to have been a part of this special journey.
Hope! Yes, this hits the nail on the head. This past year has been all about hope for myself, about new beginnings, new confidence, new people in my life. And finally getting a grip on my mental health

I 100% agree with Gary regarding the message of this season overall. I think we can see that in every person that was near the top of this season. dadi, you know I am a fan of your work and I'm so glad that I made a connection in this contest with someone that (for better or worse) feels like a kindred spirit in a lot of ways. Your work always spoke to me, even if I didn't really understand why. Your writing just has a quality to it that makes me want to dive deeper into it and always read more

Thank you, dear! I too am very happy that we have connected, even if only rather late into the game! And I will definitely be here again, if there is another round, after all, this time I certainly did not enter Idol with the idea of potentially winning it, so next time I'll fee free to explore other styles, other roads, just for the fun of it!
The story of dadi is about hope. And not just her own story, but the stories of so many of the people she shared with us. Week after week, there were people who had endured difficult (even terrible) things, and yet they found a way to look forward and to move forward. They survived into a better future, and it was so inspiring to read about their journeys and about the good they continued to look for and find in spite of how their pasts had tried to destroy them.
All of those consistently strong and vivid stories, all the way to the end, were why I thought dadi would win it all this season. And like her stories themselves, she did not disappoint!
