You can (1) post with your LJ account. DW allows any open ID (like LJ) account, at least the last time I checked and (2) just let me know what name you are using.
Is there a source about the " owners, who are a bank with direct ties to Putin's inner circle" ? I just did some googling but was unable to confirm that? All I've been able to determine is that Livejournal is owned by SUP Media of which the only significant owner I can find evidence of is the liberal business paper Kommersant owns a "significant minority"?
I'm a very big supporter of the Ukrainian cause, but I also love livejournal and its been an important part of my life for over 20 years, so I'm very torn about this. I suppose until I figure out the ownership situation and/or make the hard decision, the least I can do is start posting to livejournal the many reports about the Ukraine situation that I have thus far been making to my facebook wall.
