Just to be clear about this... we would write a separate entry for the four topics you have listed in order to complete this assignment? In other words, no combining any of them into one or two entries?

No combining them.

Four entries.

So that could mean around four hundred entries to read if everyone partakes? (Headdesk)

I would be obscenely surprised if everyone participates. Obscenely!

Well, the voting will not be fun. I have only managed to read all entries during intro week so far because it was long enough.

It is difficult because I want to be fair, but that's why I always move the long entries to the bottom of the list and read the shorter ones first, and try to keep my own entry under a thousand words, especially when there are so many to read.

Now that you mention this; we would need another two weeks to read them all :P

That won't happen.

I remember one Christmas week we had a topic that wasn't mandatory. I had a bug in my wherever to write this specific thing, and I worked a ridiculous amount of time on it. Very few people posted anything, and I doubt anyone beyond my friends list read the thing after all that.

He's tempting us with an incentive this time, but even people with good intentions are going to waver about writing four entries over Christmas.

Okaaay. I am still not 100% clear on this.

We either take up the challenge and write 4 entries, or we don't, and so write nothing, and if we write nothing, this week, that's it, no bye lost. Is that right?

That's how I understand it.

Gary indicated there might be a useful reward.

eternal_ot December 21 2016, 08:02:50 UTC
I guess so. There is a reward if you win but no eliminations and no byes lost if not attempted(reward here would be "The Break" that you take by not writing)
