-03- [Voice] Eggs and Sake

Sep 21, 2009 16:40

Ugh.  I hate it when I catch colds.   I never want to do anything except sleep, and sleep, and drink.   I need to make some tamagozake if I want this thing to go away any time soon.  I'd hate to have to miss out on any brigade meetings over this.

Oh.  Speaking of tamagozake, I'm kind of curious as to what cold remedies you guys are used to?  ( Read more... )

tamagozake, 03, nasty cold remedies +1, sick over here, ;ic

Hm? Well, when I would get sick, my dad would make his special soup. It was always real bitter and strong .. He never told me what he put in it, though. Said it was 'top secret'.
Either way, it cleared up my cold the next day! Haha.

Tamagozake? What's that?

I've been drinking a lot of tea. If you add some honey to it, it soothes a sore throat well. [And of course, she's got the cold too, so there's some coughing at the end]

It's a drink made with sake, eggs, and sugar.

The problem with tea is that it only soothes, it doesn't get rid of the cold.

One is coming on, but it hasn't gotten too bad yet, so don't worry. And I don't think I need anything. I went stocked up just a little while ago!

Thank you, though, Rika.

Tamagozake?

I have some special herbal tea that's very effective against colds if you want, Miss.

It's a drink with sake, eggs, and sugar. Where I come from, people swear by it.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt, can't have too much tea.

... sake?

If you'd come by the pharmacy, I'll have it ready.
