I have finally restored an artifact I found in a trip to the Scavengers' Yard a good number of months ago. Somehow the name Haro gravitates to me when I see it. It has taken a few months to replace microchips and a good number of electric wiring, but at last my efforts have paid off. In the upcoming months, I shall see the true capabilities of this ( Read more... )

Haro, huh?

[His writing pauses. He's really not sure he should say anything, but decides it's worth looking in to.]

I'm somewhat familiar with it.

Do you know anything about its mechanics? Or is it something you just know by sight?

As far as I know, just by sight.

Well, if you remember anything else, it would be nice to compare notes with another person.

That is certainly an interesting find. I'm not sure I understand your description of it-do you believe it is a creature, or a machine?

...Haro.

[The name feels about as familiar as the bot looks, which is to say very.]

You mentioned some things that point to a personality. And since he has a sense of humour, I'm guessing he talks?

Yes, it felt right to call him such a thing.

He does. The programming for the personality was done by someone else, though. His speaking functions are limited, though. Most fragmented sentences that are repeated.

Repetition, huh? [Yeeeaaahh, the speech tic sounds familiar, too.] Sounds like it could get annoying after a bit.

You mentioned he can do advanced calculations. Were they the generic sort or did they seem specialized?

[And yes, it seems perfectly natural to assign it a gender.]

It's just that I had remembered one of our early conversations about Haro. Would it still be alright if I see it?
