Title: Two stories (8/27)
Pairing: Ohmiya, Sakuraiba, Juntoshi (one-side), ?
Rating: PG-13
Genre: AU, Angst, Romance, Mystery
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the story.
Summary: Two stories of two individuals, but it was only one.
Unbeta-ed, so sorry for my mistakes. I'm very very thankful if someone helps me point them out ^^~!

A/N: two months... What? Nearly three months? Okay, it's all my fault here *bows* Because I started university around September and since then I was drowned into studying and such and I don't even have time to come back to LJ. Oh my God. I even lost track of Arashi and the fandom. I've read your guys comments since the last time I posted here, I've read the happy birthday messages (which I still haven't replied), and I realize how much I miss everyone, miss posting fics and miss reading your lovely comments. How long I've been leaving? Feel like a wink of eye but also feel like years.
How is everyone? You are still doing good, aren't you? I read my Friend page today and I'm overwhelmed. It feels like coming back and then realize everything has changed. It's a little sad... :)
I really don't want to hang your guys up forever, and I told myself everyday that I have to finish the fics, and I can't just disappear like that. But well, it's harder than I thought, since real life took over anything and I barely had time nor feeling to write anything.

Hah. Sorry for babbling :P I just want to talk to you guys again. And I hope... You will talk to me, too. Because I miss you, miss the fandom. Miss Arashi. A lot.

This one, I will try to finish it, as soon as possible. But sorry for the mistakes, because really, it's been a while I didn't use English, so maybe I'll write some weird grammar structures or even weird words. Please forgive me ne ^^

Okay, come back to Two stories, and maybe you should read all over again to remember this series. But if you still remember until now? I'm very very thankful *bows again*.

Love you all~ ♥

Chapter 8: You are my Friend, You are my Love.

The next morning when Nino opened his eyes, he was curling up beside Ohno, with one of Ohno’s hands around his waist. A warm feeling filled his heart.

He remembered he was suffering last night, with the same images and same scenes which had been haunting him since forever. They poured back in his mind, screamed around him and surrounded him like shadow of ghosts, until he found it hard to breath, hard to control himself. He remembered his whole body was numbed, he couldn’t move an inch, his eyes were staring but seeing nothing in front of him despite the nightmare once again showing up mercilessly in his mind.

The numbness, the pain.

The fear, the hurt, the coldness.

The slicing of knife on his chest.

The beating of his heart.

He still could taste the metallic smell of blood on his lips, since he was biting them too tight. He had been drowning deep inside lots of memories that he had never wanted to remember.

He couldn’t recall the details - not that he wanted to - but overall, he could feel it.

So when he felt Ohno’s presence near him, the only thing he could do was uttering in fear “I don’t want to come back.”

And Ohno’s assurance “You don’t need to come back” was a solace for him. As if he had found himself a place to stay, a person to believe.

But it felt like he had reached heaven when Ohno whispered to his ear that magical words.

Nino himself had never been loved. That was what he had been believing since he had known this world. He didn’t know the reason, maybe he had never met the right person - not that he had a chance, after all. But this time, Ohno had showed up in his life and loved him. There was nothing else Nino could wish for. Saying that he was happy was underestimate. The happiness overwhelmed him, like streams of sunlight suddenly broke through a dense darkness and finally found him, lost and scared, and caressed him like he was the most precious person.

He sat up and looked at Ohno’s sleeping face with a fond smile. The older man had stayed awake until he made sure Nino had fallen asleep last night. Nino could still recall the fondness of Ohno stroking his back, kissing him on his nose occasionally. Because Ohno was laying there beside him, he could slowly drifting off without scaring that nightmares would be waiting for him at the other end of the edge. It was Ohno’s warmth and Ohno’s gentle hand that lured him into sleep last night, and now he woke up with surprising lightness inside his chest.

Ohno stirred slightly before opening his eyes. His lips formed a smile when he saw Nino already wake up, and he reached out to take Nino’s hand in his gently.

“It’s still early.” He yawned and motioned for Nino to lay back on the bed. Nino laughed and obediently followed, slipped under the blanket and curled up beside Ohno’s side, enjoyed the closeness he was allowed to take.

-----------------------------------

When they parted to go to work that day, Ohno leaned in and put a slight kiss on Nino’s head, causing him to blush deeply scarlet but he grinned at Ohno, his eyes sparkling with happiness. He couldn’t be happier than that. They waved their salutation at the crossroad where Nino would turn to go to Jun’s shop, and Ohno went on the opposite direction to go to his workplace.

When Ohno’s back had disappeared into the crowd, the thought of meeting Jun after Ohno’s confession was so hard. Nino didn’t want to face Jun right now. Jun didn’t know, he convinced himself, and of course I wouldn’t tell him either… Though Nino was genuinely happy with Ohno loving him and he didn’t want anything more than that, he still felt guilt building up inside him with each step he took. He approached Jun’s place with a sudden heavy mood.

Jun was waiting for him behind the counter. The man looked sleepy but he was smiling at Nino when Nino entered the shop. It was still early and it wasn’t the time to open yet. Nino changed into his uniform - which Jun had given him last week, insisted that he looked good on it and he should wear it when he came here, and Nino couldn’t refuse as he took it gratefully. Jun just smiled.

Because Jun was so kind that Nino didn’t want to be the one who hurt him. Jun might be appeared as a hot-temple person, but in fact he was gentle and he cared so much about people around him. It was what Nino had learned after weeks working with this young man. And it gave Nino a nice feeling being with Jun, like being with a friend.

He didn’t want to let Jun know about Ohno’s confession. It was hard enough for Jun to love Ohno one-sided for more than one year already… And what if he told Jun? What if Jun discovered it himself? Would Jun hate Nino? Or would he steal Ohno away from him? The thought upset Nino, but he shook it away violently, while trying to focus on his tasks. He wouldn’t let Jun know anytime soon.

It was a busy day, with many guests come and went, and Nino got too carried away that he nearly forgot time. When he raised his head up, it was already noon, and Jun called him for lunch. He smiled gratefully at Jun and came back to behind the counter. Most of the customers now were sitting deliberately on their seat, looking sleepy and tired, leaving both Jun and Nino nothing to do as they ate lunch together. Nino had a full mouth of pasta when Jun looked over his shoulder to a table near a window, as he whispered.

“Hey, that man had been there since morning. I wonder what he was doing here?”

Nino looked up and found himself staring at a pair of strange eyes staring back at him. He hastily looked away.

“Maybe he’s been waiting for someone.”

“I guess so…” Jun shrugged “Seem like he’s dumped by his girlfriend.”

“I don’t know you can talk like that,” Nino chuckled “I think you’re cool.”

“I am cool” Jun rolled his eyes “I’m just curious, that all.”

Nino snorted and finished his dish, wiping his mouth with a tissue when he stood up abruptly.

“Should I go and ask if he needs more coffee?”

“Okay,” Jun shrugged again and went back to his meal.

Nino was approaching the man when he saw him standing up and put money onto the table, then without a word or a glance back, he stepped outside the shop with unmistakable worry on his face. Nino arched his eyebrows, but he said nothing and came to take the money and clean the table.

That was when he heard someone calling him and when he looked at the front door, Ohno was waving at him, a big grin on his face as he saw Nino.

“Kazu~~!!”

Nino’s stomach did a flip-flop when he saw Jun staring at them suspiciously, and he hurriedly put down the stray as he pushed the older man outside the door, out of Jun’s eyes. He looked back worriedly, to make sure that Jun didn’t see them, and turned back to Ohno.

“Please, Ohchan, don’t call me like that here!”

“Why?” Ohno frowned in confusion. There was hurt in his eyes that Nino pretended he didn’t see.

“We need to… Well, calm things down here okay?”

“Why?” Ohno asked again, this time he moved a little to look over Nino’s shoulder “You’re scared that Jun would know? Don’t worry, he’s my friend so…”

“No!” Nino cut him off. Ohno got it right, it was because of Jun, but Jun wouldn’t react like Ohno think he would. Ohno would hurt Jun without knowing, and Nino would feel so guilty with the younger man.

Ohno just looked at him, his eyes dropped after a moment as he pouted.

“Okay,” He answered. Ohno looked so sad that Nino couldn’t help but leaned in and poked the other man’s cheek.

“I’ll make it up for you when we’re home.” Nino smiled mischievously, and with that Ohno’s smile came back on his face.

“Okay,” He repeated, this time cheerier.

“Then let’s go inside. Jun must be wondering about us.”
