Chapter 13: Kidnapped
Ohno woke up in a bad state. It was the first thing he could think of, with his head aching and his limbs were all numb, as if he had been staying in a position for several hours. He tried to move his fingers, and opened his eyes slowly. He was lying in a dark room, on a bed that he couldn’t see clearly. When his eyes adjusted with the darkness, he could see vaguely that it was a big room with nice decoration. Everything around him was elegant-looking, as though he had been brought into a palace’s room. He could see the pattern on the ceiling which reminded him of the masterpieces of the great authors from the nineteenth century. He tried to sit up, and until then he realized that he was lying on a fluffy king-size bed with two pillows, one was beneath his head, and a comfortable blanket wrapped around him. He blinked in confusion. What did he do to end up being here? And where was this place? He had no idea. He remembered saying goodbye to Nino when he walked him to Jun’s shop this morning, remembered making sure Nino was safe in Jun’s place before turning away and walking towards his workplace. But then, there was something hard…- He could still feel his head throbbing till now - then he was plunged into unconsciousness until he woke up here in a total strange place.
He sat up on the bed and looked around. What time is it? This room had no light, and even the windows were closed tightly with locks on them, so it was unable for him to open it. It felt like he was imprisoned.
Strangely, he felt no fear at all. Usually, people would freak out knowing they were kidnapped - if it was what he was into - and being imprisoned in a big dark room without knowing who the kidnapper was and what they wanted from him. But somehow Ohno felt at ease. Maybe it was because of the buzzing sound of the conditioner or the cool air around him, or maybe because everything was somehow familiar - the aura of this room. Even the scent of the bedspread was familiar, too. It was weird, because Ohno had never been here before.
Suddenly, a click from the front door and a person entered. Ohno squinted. From where he was, he couldn’t see the face clearly. That person closed the door quietly and locked it behind him, then he approached Ohno with a sly smile. When finally he was in sight, Ohno shivered when he realized who he was.
“Welcome to my room, Ohchan.” That familiar but also strangely cold voice resounded made Ohno shudder. Ninomiya came beside him and sat down on the bed. Ohno moved away from him, couldn’t hide the disgust he was feeling toward this man.
“Why do you call me that name?” Ohno asked the first question that popped up in his mind, and he could see Ninomiya smiled wider.
“Because it’s exactly what he will call you.”
“What do you mean?” Ohno stuttered. He knew who this person was talking about.
“You called him, Nino, ne?” Ninomiya continued. His hand suddenly came to rest on Ohno’s arm, and with a slightest movement he ran his hand up and down the latter’s arm. Ohno immediately pushed back, tried to wipe Ninomiya’s hand away, but Ninomiya was stubborn as he kept his hand on the older man’s shoulder.
“Don’t you dare to touch me!” Ohno warned, his eyes burning with anger. This was the same person that had hurt Nino. And now what did he want to do to him?
“Oh, calm down, old man,” Ninomiya smiled again. He seemed not mind that Ohno keep pushing him away, and he was leaning closer to Ohno. His hand rested on the older man’s thigh as he stroked him slightly, almost eagerly. “You know you want this.”
“I don’t want this with you!” Ohno snapped and shoved Ninomiya’s hand away. But the other man was faster as he took both Ohno’s hands and pinned him down onto the bed as he climbed on top of him. They were staring at each other, with sparkle in Ninomiya’s eyes and anger in Ohno’s. He didn’t know how everything turned up like this. Why was Ninomiya so interested in him?
“Oh, it’s just the same,” Ninomiya smirked “Me or him, isn’t it?”
And Ninomiya leaned down, his lips caught Ohno as he pulled him into a rough kiss with too much force. Ohno struggled to get out of Ninomiya’s hold, but it seemed like this man had more strength than he appeared to be, so no matter how hard Ohno tried, he just ended up being kissed desperately. Ninomiya forced him to open his mouth as he bite his lips hardly, and Ohno could almost taste the odor of his own blood in his mouth.
This was crazy, Ohno’s mind whirled. Crazy, and disgusting. He had never felt like this before - helpless, powerless, and hurt. The physical pain was nothing compared to the mental pain, and suddenly he remembered. He used all his remain strength to push Ninomiya away, and this time he succeed. Ninomiya was pushed back, he was still breathing heavily, but he stopped and looked at Ohno questioningly. Ohno wiped his mouth with clear disdain on his face, and at that very moment, he felt Ninomiya’s eyes saddened.
“This was what you had done with Nino too, right?” He asked mockingly. Feeling the same pain with Nino could only make him even more love him, it was driving him crazy.
“So, he told you,” Ninomiya smirked. The misery, if existed, had totally disappeared from his face. Now it was full with amusement and eagerness, and looking at that Ohno wanted to do nothing but punched him hard on his face.
“You always hurt him like this!” Ohno accused. And Ninomiya didn’t protest. He just looked calmly at him, his eyes were unreadable.
“He’s mine,” Ninomiya replied, his voice suddenly was so soft. “And I was not hurting him, mind you. I was just loving him.”
“Not like this!” Ohno’s eyes held Ninomiya’s, and he found himself staring deep into a dark yet hollow eyes, without any real emotions in them. Startled, he blinked and the feeling gone away, a smug smile had come back on Ninomiya’s face. At that time Ohno started to wonder if his eyes were playing trick on him too much today. “This isn’t love… You don’t love him at all!”
“DON’T SAY THINGS YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!!!” Ninomiya yelled, and for the first time, Ninomiya lost his temple. He looked tired, and also, empty, like he was just a body without real spirit inside. Ohno’s eyes widened at the sight of Ninomiya, his breath became heavier - this time there was nothing to do with the kisses, but from his chest because he was holding it tightly with his fist. He looked paler, his sweat started to roll down, and his eyes fluttered shut. He gasped for air, and his other hand desperately finding something to hold onto, as if the pain was increasing uncontrollably inside his chest, made it harder for him to even breathe. Ninomiya trembled, and at that very moment he was strangely like Nino, and Ohno’s heart constricted just seeing that. He hated him, he hated this person so much, but…
He just couldn’t stay still seeing Nino in pain like that. It was just heart-breaking.
So he reached out his hand and hold Ninomiya’s. The latter raised his head up in shock, but Ohno ignored his glare. He looked at Ninomiya, whispered as he ran his hand to rub his back slightly.
Ninomiya seemed not care anymore, as he squeezed Ohno’s hand too tight that Ohno thought his hand might be broken. Ninomiya’s head lowered, he was still sucking for air. After two or more minutes, Ohno didn’t really know, but the pain seemed subside as Ninomiya’s hand on him loosened. Though his eyes were still shut and he was still as pale as a corpse.
Minutes later, Ninomiya’s breath came back to normal. His hand was still hold on to Ohno’s, his nail marked on Ohno’s palm. Both of them didn’t say anything, as Ninomiya came back to his normal self. It was Ninomiya who talked first as he chortled disbelievingly.
“What does this mean?” He shook their hand and Ohno immediately redrew his hand. He didn’t understand it himself. As if at that moment, Ninomiya was screaming anyone there, please help me, and all Ohno had done was being there for him. Ninomiya was gloomy, miserable, and more than that, he was so in pain.
“I should be the one said that,” He answered coldly “What does that mean?”
“What?” Ninomiya arched his eyebrows “What does what mean?”
“Stop playing around!” Ohno snapped. Ninomiya had had his sly smile back and now he looked seriously annoying. “What does that mean? The pain.”
“It’s not a big deal,” Ninomiya just shrugged “It always happens.”
“Since when?” Ohno asked, surprised himself that they were actually talking to each other. This was a strange development that he had never thought before. But he could never erase the hatred for this person, because of whatever he had done for Nino for several years.
“Since I was born.” Ninomiya answered with a bored voice. “Can’t you just stop asking about this?”
“Okay, then let me go home.” Ohno shrugged and got up, totally ignored Ninomiya’s disappointed look on him “I won’t ask anymore.”
“You’re really annoying, you know,” Ninomiya scratched his head in despair “Since the first time we met, I know that you’re so annoying!”
“Then why did you take me here?” Ohno frowned “Why did you try to rape me, just now?”
“It’s not rape, I told you…” Ninomiya mumbled disapprovingly.
“And I’m telling you, it is rape, no matter how you look at it.” Ohno arched his eyebrows. Ninomiya had a genuine look on his face, and Ohno just couldn’t think that he was lying. But it seemed like the definition about ‘rape’ of Ninomiya was just far different from Ohno.
“Fine, fine,” Ninomiya finally gave up. He tiredly laid down on his bed and waved at Ohno “You can go. I’m tired already.”
Ohno looked uncertainly at the small person lying across the big bed. A minute before he looked scary, cold and cruel, but the next minute he became weak, small and pale. This gap of him made Ohno wonder, what was exactly this person’s problem? But being unable to answer it himself and Ninomiya had already turned to his side and refused to look at Ohno again, he pushed the door and went outside, tried to get out of this mansion and going back to his beloved home. Nino might be worried for him, and with what had just happened now, he couldn’t help feeling guilt tingling inside him like an annoying dark shadow.
