This place isn't so bad, I guess. No comparison my past experiences. At least there are other people here. Though some of the people are... questionable.

I finally found a place to stay as well, I think. I've explored enough for now. Though... what are these 'chips' I keep hearing about?

It becomes more bearable as time passes.

What does? The place or the people?

Both. Discedo may be unpredictable, but over time you'll know and learn how to cope.

As for your question about the chips, if you have powers, the chip implanted in you will lock them away.

I see. That's good to know. Thanks.

And for those who don't have any powers? Does it do anything to them?

The chips are designed to suppress abilities, such as magic or other strengths beyond the human norm.

why hello there~ :D theredchild September 1 2009, 01:18:30 UTC
I see. That's annoying. ... And explains some things. Where... did they put it, exactly? I'd kind of like to get it out.

I believe the doctors know this answer. Though, the process is not without its risks...

What kinds of risks?

Those chips are devices designed to block whatever special abilities one may possess upon arrival. A rather unpleasant concept, for most of us.

Is that true? Well, that explains why my injuries didn't heal as quickly as they usually do.

Can they be removed?

dreamgranter September 1 2009, 01:24:29 UTC
Unfortunately so, I'm afraid.

There is a way for them to be removed, yes, but that is something only the doctors can do.

But if they can just be removed why even bother putting them in?

The chips are devices that supposedly suppress one's powers, though the 'scientists' who have summoned us here have other means of doing so.

They may also be a means of monitoring us, though this remains to be confirmed.

[Voice | English] They really are. I want one! theredchild September 1 2009, 01:30:00 UTC
I vaguely remember them from that lab. So they can suppress our powers, even without them? Somehow that seems really unfair.

Does anyone know what they want from us? Are we just here to be studied or is there some other purpose?

To be studied, it would seem. Though perhaps their angenda is not quite as simple as that...it appears that they truly are interested in our progress with rebuilding here, and there may be some circumstances that are beyond even their control.

It may all be a ruse, of course. But some of their reactions to events have been too genuine to have simply been staged.

They want us to rebuild their world for them? That's a pretentious of them to think some of us don't have our own worlds to rebuild.

Interesting. What sorts of things happen here? I suppose the snow is a little weird, but...
