Caroline sat, contemplating what Klaus had told her about the possibilities that came with being a vampire, the things she could do and be if she allowed herself to not be a teenage girl anymore and finally become what the vampires of legend were like. She was tied down because the people she knew were still alive, all those she loved still existed in her world, that wasn’t true for most vampires.
“What are you thinking about so hard?” He stood leaning on her doorframe, chin raised, studying her face.
“Stefan, What are you doing here?” she hadn’t been alone with him since he was trying to help her with her transition into becoming a vampire.
“I heard you got bitten by Tyler, great boyfriend that one, but by the looks of it Klaus came by just in time to cure you. Just wanted to be sure you weren’t dead.” He turned to leave and she nearly let him, scowling at his comment, but then Klaus’ words found their way back into her mind, you could travel the world.“Wait Stefan,” she paused trying to formulate the

She wanted to say no, she wanted to say that this was inhuman and she wanted to say that she should feel all the emotions that she would have felt if she were still alive, but she felt better than she had in a long time. “Yeah, it feels good,” she smiled, “thank you Stefan.” Their hands drifted down and Stefan rose from her bed, Caroline looked up at him as he moved towards the door. He stopped in the doorway, turned back, and looked down at her.
“It’s good that you’re still here, we’ll need you against Klaus.” He left then.
That brought her back to what had happened before Stefan had arrived, you could travel the world. It was true, but Stefan was right, she needed to help protect the ones she loved as long as she could, her future would wait, she had all the time in the world. Her eyes fluttered and the exhaustion from the day spent having a funeral and almost dying, again, washed over her. She let herself fall asleep

This was perfect. It is fascinating to think about how Stefan handles his completely different personalities :)
You've reminded me again, why I miss the Stefan/Caroline friendship so much on the show. :/
