It was easy getting through the gates at Claremont Airport, just as Henderson had said. The guard had glanced at their IDs and waved them through without a second glance
( ... )
"All right." She nods, knowing that it will be difficult to go in there and not grab Caiti the first chance she gets but she can't. They were too close now, her sister was just inside and Chris couldn't risk anything going wrong.
Standing behind Jack, she levels the gun he gave her at the ground, it's seems too heavy almost. Maybe it's because it's a different make then she's used to or maybe she's not used to weight in her hands. She hasn't held a gun in months.
"Okay, let's go," he says, opening his door and sliding out, not bothering to close it quietly. Henderson knows they're there.
Moving toward the door, his weapon at his side where anyone passing by won't notice it, he nudges the door open, raising his pistol and sighting along the barrel as he steps inside.
"Christopher? We've got what you want, now let Caiti go," he calls out, scanning the room before he motions for Chris to follow him in.
"I'm right here, Jack," Henderson calls back, peering at Jack and Chris from between the bars of the cherry picker's platform. "Don't do anything stupid and make me kill her now. Just throw me the memory stick."
"O'Brian." Chloe has noticed Jack and Chris have been gone longer than they were supposed to, or, at least, longer than Chloe was entirely comfortable with.
"Where are you, exactly?" Chloe decides to just go along with it. "Give me some coordinates and ten minutes." Chloe adds this to the ever growing list of Jack.Owe.Mes and sets up a channel.
"I don't have ten minutes, Chloe, I'm following Christopher Henderson but I need to know where he's going. I'm sending you my coordinates now," he says, punching a few buttons on his cellphone and sending her his location using the built-in GPS.
That done, he shifts into gear and quickly heads for the exit, trying to think about what route Henderson would have taken--the freeways were the best bet if he wanted to get away fast, and the 210 and the 10 are both east-west. Heading west would bring him to more populous areas, but heading east offered a lot more distance to run, at least by car. The 210 is closer and he toward it, hoping that he's not going in the wrong direction.
"There should be sattelite coverage for this area already, you just need to rewind the footage and tell me where he's going. He left Hangar 18 at the Claremont Airport a few minutes ago."
